Photo Gallery We're the "Chill" RC club
Mt. Silverwood RC Club is a small club with a good field and a relaxed atmoshpere. We typically maintain a membership of 25 to 30. Our members range from teenagers to long-since-retired. Skill levels range from novice to 60 years experience. We have members who fly exclusively electric, and others who don't know an li-poly fom a limp-noodle. Several members fly helicopters, some fly scale, some are builders and some aren't. We have several certified flight instructors, and we have several club trainers to help get you started.
Because of our small size, the field is rarely crowded. The field faces west so flying is best in the first half of the day. It features a 400' x 120' grass runway, a 15' x 150' geotextile runway for electrics, 10 safety tables, easy parking and an out house. We have a pet tree near one end of the runway that WILL make you a better pilot. When the weather is good you will often find someone at the field between nine and noon on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays.
Visitors are welcoe, but to fly solo on our field you MUST be an AMA member. If interesting in experiencing RC flight, we can put you on a "buddy box," no AMA membership or dues required. Dues are only $25 per year. See membership application for more information.
